Tijdens het Nederlandse Pinkpop festival in 2004, leerden wij van de heren Chris Hesse en Dan Estrin welke vragen vooral niet te stellen aan Hoobastank in een interview en we merkten dat de heren echt fan zijn van hun fans:

"When you can't give one fan the attention they expect, they hate you and call you an asshole. It wasn't in my fucking job description to come to the fan's houses and play nintendo with them!"

We namen dit interview op met Hoobastank toen ze op tour waren met Incubus in 2002. Doug vertelt over de invloeden op de teksten:

"All the songs come from personal experience of some sort and I think it's important to write about what you know. It's much more believable because you sing it with more passion and conviction."
