We hadden een relaxed interview met Live drummer Chad Gracey in 2003. Hij sprak openhartig over hun laatste album "Birds of Pray". Live heeft de hele wereld gezien en we vroegen Chad wat het verschil was tussen Europese en Amerikaanse fans.

"The European fans love music and they don't care what it is and the Americans are a little more judgmental and picky...but it's all good."

Toazted sprak met Patrick Dahlheimer in een hotel in Amsterdam op 15 mei 2003. Hij deelde enkele interessante verhalen met ons over het opnameproces van hun laatste album "Birds of Pray".

Zanger Ed Kowalczyk vertelt in dit interview over het proces van schrijven van de liedjes voor "The Distance to Here".

"We wrote over 50 songs, we recorded 25 and then chose 13. It was a long process, it took us about a year and a half between recording and writing."

Bassist Patrick Dahlheimer liet ons in 1997 weten wat de keerzijde van het succes is:

"The commercial side of Live is in a business that's full of building stars and of making somebody seem more than what they are. It sort of builds up the ego. We constantly have to try to shun that off and get rid of it to stay normal."
